Graiguenamanagh Tourism is pleased to announce the 10th Annual Graiguenamanagh 'Town of Books' Festival, which will take place in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, on Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd, and Sunday 23rd September 2012. For one weekend in September Graiguenamanagh will be transformed literally (no pun intended) into a ‘Town of Books’ A Boatload of Books by the Barrow! A unique book trail will wind through the charming medieval village of Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny Follow it and you will discover thousands of special, bargain, rare, & specialist books from booksellers all over Ireland. The Town Of Books festival has something for everyone, and not just fabulous books. There’s a treasure trail, music, talks, walks, events, craft and food- for the whole family to enjoy! Graiguenamanagh’s Town of Books Festival is in its 9th year, and as well as growing as part of the Kilkenny Community Festival Network, it aims to develop Graiguenamanagh as Ireland’s permanent Book Town. Graig’s location by the beautiful river Barrow & at the foot of Brandon Hill makes it a perfect setting.
